Applenuts
Finding the right snack that you and the kids are going to agree upon and love can sometimes be difficult. That’s where these applenut's are perfect, as they not only look the part but are healthy too.
Makes 8
Ingredients:
1 large red apple
1 large green apple
2 Tablespoons Peanut butter
2 Tablespoons cottage cheese/ ricotta
Decoration ingredients
1 Tablespoon dark/ white chocolate chips
½ banana, sliced and halved again
3 large strawberries, diced
coconut flakes/ shredded coconut
4 walnuts, halved
sultanas
pepitas
Method:
1. Remove the core of an apple by using an apple corer/ alternatively you can wash the apple first, then with a sharp knife slice into 4. This will make it easier for you to remove the core with a knife.
2. Spread each apple ring with either peanut butter or cottage cheese
3. Top with the decorative ingredients of your choice.
